Kate is Knitty.com’s Managing Technical Editor, and a seasoned designer and teacher of all things knitterly. Her book, Custom Socks: Knit to Fit Your Feet, was released summer 2015 by Interweave Press, to great acclaim, and her latest book, Beginner’s Guide to Writing Knitting Patterns, is proving very popular among both new and experienced designers. She’s known for her attention to detail in her patterns and her classes, and she regularly teaches at stores and events across North America, including Interweave YarnFest and Vogue Knitting Live. Lily M. Chin

Lily M. Chin is an internationally famous knitter and crocheter who has worked in the yarn industry for more than thirty years, as a designer, instructor, and author of books on knitting and crochet. Author of seven books, including the very popular Crochet Tips and Tricks and Knitting Tips and Tricks from Potter Craft and Power Cables from Interweave Press. Lily teaches extensively around the world. She now has instructional DVD’s out, distributed by Interweave Press, on Reversible Cables, Mosaic Crochet, Knitting Tips and Tricks, and Crochet Tips and Tricks. Miriam began knitting as a teenager, as a natural next step from sewing, crochet, and needlepoint. She's been designing and publishing since 2005, including her first book, Twist & Knit: A Dozen Patterns for Handspun, Hand-dyed and One-of-a-Kind Yarns. Her current love is combining all crafting in her curated email newsletter called CrossCraftual. Miriam's work features textural details and clever techniques, with positive/negative space playing a prominent roll. Faina Goberstein is a prolific knitwear designer, author, and a professional teacher. She is the co-author of best-selling books The Art of Slip Stitch Knitting and The Art of Seamless Knitting and her designs can be found in Vogue Knitting, Interweave Knits, Knit Purl, Knitscene, Twist Collective, Interweave Crochet, and various books.
